The relationship between humans and cutting tools dates back further than we could ever imagine. From the first shard of stone, we were immediately drawn to a sharp implemenet. Axes, tomahawks, Dirks, Sickles, Kirpans, and so many more, are symbols within our many cultures, based on a cutting implement. The Knife is one of the oldest tools known to us, and our need for it in a wilderness setting is rarely ever second to any other tool, shy of fire. On this one-day workshop, you will learn how to safely use a knife for carving wood, as well as a little bit on processing game (meat). Knife selection for Bushcraft-oriented chores, as well as how to maintain your knife will also be covered. Don’t have a knife? That’s okay! We can lend you one.
Cost: $80 CAD (+ $3 CAD if renting a knife)
